CFR Cluj became the champions of the country three times in 2008-2012. Borac Banja Luka is one of the few Bosnian teams that have performed successfully at the level of former Yugoslavia. The Red-Blues won the cup and took the 4th place in the local major league. At the same time, it cannot be said that the representative of Banja Luka became a grandee during the years of independence. In 2010, Borac managed to win at least a cup, and in the next draw, it finally managed to gain gold medals. The next time Borac took 1st place was only ten years later. Thanks to excellent spring results, the Red-Blues managed to get two points ahead of Sarajevo. These are excellent results for Marko Maksimovic, who used to play in the team, became the head coach in December. However, the cup final was lost on penalties. And it is not yet clear what shape Borac Banja Luka has now. They practically did not even have friendly games in June.
