Borussia Dortmund hosts Slavia Prague in round 6 of the Champions League group stage. The match will be played on Tuesday, December 10th at Signal Iduna Park (Dortmund)
Borussia definitely does not inspire confidence in its game now. The team seemed to look good from the start of the season, and somebody may even think that the Yellow-Blacks would become the country's champions this season. But all these thoughts disappeared after a recent segment – they lost to Bayern with a 04 score and showed a completely incomprehensible match with the outsider of the Bundesliga, Paderborn (3-3). After that, Borussia lost to Barcelona in the Champions League and looked frankly weak in one of the last rounds of the local championship, having barely beaten one of the main outsiders of the season, Hertha Berlin (2-1). It seems that Lucien Favre's men simply lack strength, and such results and a slurred game will be the norm for Dortmund in the future. Borussia has already driven itself into such a situation that not everything depends on them. If Inter wins in the parallel match with Barcelona, the victory of Dortmund in the upcoming match will not help to get into the 1/8 finals. And considering the current state of the German team, it is not a fact that they will be able to break the tough Czech team.

Slavia can put itself an excellent mark for this group stage. In a group with three giants of European football (Barcelona, Inter, and Borussia), a modest Czech team looked equal in every match. It managed to get a point in the battle with the Catalans in their field. Having lost three matches out of five, Slavia did not allow itself to lose with a big score, conceding only two goals from formidable opponents and scoring in three matches. I faintly imagine any kind of team from the CIS, which could look so even in such a difficult group. Although the upcoming match has no tournament importance for the men of Jindřích Trpisovsky, there is no doubt that the Czech team will come to Dortmund to fight seriously, and there will not be any simple walk for Borussia.
Bookmakers offer very controversial coefficients, giving greater preference to Dortmund, and this is an extremely strange decision given the latest results of this team. Well, it’s better for us because we can safely bet on a plus handicap of the visitors for a good coefficient. A +2.5 handicap looks very convincing, and there are no prerequisites for the fact that the Czechs will crumble in the last round, given how cool they looked in previous matches of the tournament.
Prediction for the match: Slavia Prague to win with +2.5 handicap
