Bodo/Glimt hosts Legia in the first leg of the Champions League qualification 1/8 finals. The match will be played on Wednesday, July 7th at Aspmyra Stadion (Bodø)
Bodo/Glimt has been on the rise in recent years. In 2019, this team has already fought for the title, but in the end, it was limited to only 2nd place (but after that it made some noise last fall in the Europa League, passing a couple of opponents from Lithuania and losing minimally to Milan itself). 2020 became a record, and the Yellow-Blacks managed to win the title for the first time. The new season in Norway started in the spring, and Bodo/Glimt quite confidently began to defend its gold medals. But by the summer the decline was clearly beginning, and the team lost a lot of points in the last rounds, allowing Molde to take the lead. But should the Yellow-Blacks get ready for their debut in the Champions League?

It’s not very comfortable for Legia to start right now. First of all, due to the fact that the Euro is still going. Yes, there were no Poles from Legia in the national team (not even Jedrzejczyk and Kapustka). But Peckhart, who scored 22 goals in Ekstraklasa last season, sat on the bench of the Czech national team. And Juranovic, full-back, who is considered a master of assists, played for the Croatian national team (8 assists in 2020/2021). In general, while the Norwegians had a full-fledged playing practice, the Poles, who had completed the season in mid-May, first went on vacation and started playing friendly matches from the end of June. Among them, there was a draw in the test match against Krasnodar: on June 23, the clubs played 1-1. Legia can only hope for more experience: in 2016, the Militarians played in the group stage of the Champions League.
Bodo/Glimt is a rare guest of international tournaments, so it is not surprising that the clubs will just start their history of head-to-head confrontations. Experts give a rather noticeable advantage to the Norwegians, who will play at home. But it is obvious that the Poles will not give up so easily. We bet on Under 2.5 goals scored.
Prediction for the match: Under 2.5 goals scored
