Bodo/Glimt take on the visitors Dinamo Zagreb in the first leg of UEFA Champions League qualification finals. The match will be played on Tuesday, August 16th at Aspmyra Stadion (Bodø).
The Yellow Horde have already been able to write a glorious page in their history, in the debut Conference League. There it turned out not only to pass the group stage, but also to knock out such strong and experienced opponents as Celtic and AZ in the playoffs. Even in the quarter-finals, Roma, which had already been beaten before, was defeated again, but in the “response”, the “wolves” tore the Scandinavians apart. And then they won the tournament as a whole! Having rested a little, Bodo/Glimt began to qualify for the Champions League. At first there were some “swings”: 3-0 and 1-3 with Klaksvik, 0-1 and 8-0 with Linfield. And only with “Zalgiris” it was possible to provide everything without the slightest hassle: after 5-0 at home there were comfortable 1-1 in Vilnius.

In general, the representative of Zagreb in recent years has created a reputation of a tough nut to crack. A year ago, however, there was a discouraging defeat in the Champions League qualification to Sheriff. The Moldovans eventually went to their debut group round. And the Balkans made it to the Europa League in the playoffs, and even won at home against Sevilla, but in the end, they were eliminated due to 1-3 defeat on the road. Now Ante Čačić's wards started mediocrely with “Shkupi”: they left in Macedonia with defeat by a goal in the 89th minute, and at home they limited themselves to a minimal victory. But with Ludogorets, such an impression, it turned out to tune in better. As a result, they won against the Bulgarian grand both on the road (2-1) and at home (4-2).
Bodo/Glimt just a few years ago was an average team in the Norwegian championship. So it is not surprising that he had not previously crossed paths with Dinamo Zagreb. Bodo/Glimt have gained momentum, but the same can be said about Dinamo. These teams will fight for the dream of reaching the group stage. We recommend betting on what we will see “more than 2.5 goals scored”.
Prediction for the match: Over 2.5 scored goals.
