Birmingham in this draw was able to improve their record. The Blues managed to survive last season with some luck in the Championship. They took just 47 points in 46 matches and largely managed to finish in 20th overall position due to penalties imposed on Reading and, most notably, Derby County. But now the wards of John Eustace were able to add - not so radically, but at least now you can not think too much about the risk of relegation to League 1.
