Blackburn hosts Millwall in round 33 of the English Championship. The match will be played on Tuesday, March 8th at Ewood Park (Blackburn)
Blackburn once even managed to become the champion of the country. Then the team was an average performer, which sometimes showed good results in the cups. But in the end, the Rovers even dropped to League 1 (by the way, it was an “achievement”, as it was the first winner of the Premier League that played there). Fortunately, Blackburn managed to return and, most importantly, gain a foothold in the Championship. However, the Blue and Whites didn’t set the Thames on fire. For example, they took only 15th place in the last draw. Now Blackburn is in the playoff zone, but the team lacks stability. And not so long ago, the Rovers earned only one point in four rounds and broke that streak with a 1-0 victory over QPR. But this was followed by a new defeat to Fulham. However, the Cottagers are the undisputed leaders of the division.

Millwall has a reputation as a popular team with very specific fans. But the results cannot be called high. It seemed that this team literally “registered” in the Championship, and as a rule, it finishes outside the top ten. Everything hinted at the fact that this season won’t bring any achievements either. But the Lions significantly stepped up at the end of January and had a streak of several victories. And since mid-February, their results were simply excellent. A 0-1 victory over Reading became their fifth win in a row. Yes, Millwall is only in 10th place at the moment, but now the Lions are only three points behind the playoff zone.
In the previous season, Blackburn was able to show a 100% result in head-to-head matches against Millwall: 2-1 at home and 0-2 away. Last August, Millwall was leading in the home game, but Brereton, who is having a great season and has already scored two dozen goals, managed to level the score. Blackburn has lost momentum recently, and it is far from certain that the Rovers will manage to confirm their status as contenders for promotion. Millwall looks very good now, and it will probably at least not lose.
Prediction for the match: Millwall to win with +0.5 handicap
