Blackburn take on the visitors Bournemouth in the round 45 match of English Championship. The match will be played on Saturday, April 30th at Ewood Park (Blackburn).
The hosts continue to fight for the playoffs, but the current results are generally unsatisfactory. Defeats to Peterborough and Stoke City, draws to Coventry and Blackpool. The Tramps stood out earlier due to a powerful attack, but in the last ten rounds they managed to score only eleven times, Ben Brereton recovered from an injury, but so far he cannot make a difference. The Riversides have great youth, but, alas, they are not very consistent. The team looks like an outsider in the fight for the sixth position.
The Cherries, which a few rounds ago had great chances for second place, "thanks" to a draw in the last rounds, slightly worsened their position. Three handicap points from Nottingham and head-to-head confrontation in just one round. It's hard to say what will happen in the end, the opponent are on a move. And then there's also a generally mediocre performance on the road and poor performance. Of the pluses - so far Bournemouth has not lost in any of the last five rounds, lost only one in eleven matches. Of the negatives - Scott Parker has a lot of injured players and this mainly concerns the defensive ranks.
It's great to come back from 0-3 to Swansea in the 72nd minute, but Bournemouth have only won one of their last four away games. Any loss of points turns into almost a disaster. The class of "cherries" is higher, individually the players are stronger. It remains only to put it into practice. One victory over not quite motivated Preston in six rounds is not a guarantee that even at home the hosts will be able to beat the second team of the Championship. I assume that the “cherries” at least will not lose.
Prediction for the match: Bournemouth to win with 0.0 handicap.
