The British could have been the leader in the group if they had not scored only one point in two matches with Denmark (0:0 away and a 0:1 defeat at home). That only defeat happened in the last game of the UEFA Nations League. It was especially surprising against the background of the fact that England beat powerful Belgium at home (2-1) just a couple of days before that game. Now the British should repeat the success with the Belgians if they want to fight for the first line.
The Belgians will surely want to take revenge for the defeat to England in the first head-to-head match. I don’t know whether they will succeed, but there is a reason to wait for goals scored.
