AEK Larnaca once again managed to become one of the football powerhouses in Cyprus. The Warriors have never won the championship in their entire history, which is not that long as they will celebrate their 30th anniversary next year. However, they have lifted the country's cup twice and finished in the 2nd position five times between 2015 and 2022. Their recent success allowed them to play in the UEFA Europa League, where they secured the 3rd place in the group stage. Later, in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Conference League, they were defeated by the eventual champions, West Ham. Against the Belarusian team, they scored three times before half-time but conceded twice in the interval between the 70th and 73rd minutes.

Zhodino recently earned the right to compete on the international stage. The Car Factory Workers played in the second division of Belarus from 1993 to 2001. However, the club from Zhodino managed to establish itself in the local Premier League (although they had to defend their place twice through playoffs) and even finished in the 3rd position in 2020. They couldn't repeat that achievement, but in the spring cup, they secured victory by defeating BATE 2-0 in the final. This was their second cup victory, following their triumph in 2016. Moreover, under the guidance of Dmitry Molosh, they started the championship with an 11-match unbeaten streak before suffering a 0-1 loss to Minsk in July. It is not surprising that they are able to maintain their position in the top three, as evidenced by their recent 0-0 draw against the table-toppers, Dynamo Minsk.
Last week, the clubs played against each other for the first time in Hungary. AEK are unlikely to leave any chances for the visitors in their home ground, Larnaca. We bet on AEK's victory in Larnaca with a handicap of -2.5 goals.
