Steaua Bucuresti take on the visiotrs Villarreal in the round 2 match of Europa League group stage. The match will be played at Arena Naționala (Bucharest) on Thursday, September 29th.
Romanian side started the group stage with 0-2 away loss to Osmanlispor. Following matches didn’t prove that defeat was exception. Steaua also lost one fixture, 1-2 to Cluj and took wins over Timisoara and Voluntary, 1-0 and 3-2 and neither of the wins came at ease. Steaua show quite nice results at home with only two defeats in 2015, 0-5 to Manchester City and to Cluj in most recent match. While the loss to the City came as no surprise, victory of Cluj tells that Steaua aren’t that good at the moment.

Villarreal had poor start of the season but the Yellow Submarine improved in recent matches, avoiding defeats for six games in a row. Spanish side started the group stage with 2-1 home win over Zurich. Fourth team of the previous season in Primera deserved to be called the group favorites with results they show lately and should finish first in the group.
The last time the teams met in UEFA Cup in 2005 when Spanish side eliminated the hosts, 2-0, 0-0. Teams changed a lot since then but disposition remained the same – Spanish side is obvious favorites and should have no problems to take an away win.
