Malta comes up to the forthcoming match in a high spirit. The Maltese broke their 16-game no-win streak which had lasted since the 8th of June 2015. During that series Malta got only three draws and 13 defeats. Moreover, the side ended its six-clash run of defeats in a row. All that unlucky streaks were derailed by 1:0 triumph over Ukraine on the 6th of June. The Maltese are the outsiders of the qualifying campaign as they lost all five encounters with 2:13 aggregated score. And now they will have to wait for few years more to get their next victory otherwise they may arrange another head-to-head against Ukraine)))
Slovenia and Malta met three times in their history covering three wins in favour of the Slovenes: 3:0, 3:1 and 1:0. There are no objective reasons for breaking the winning pace of Srecko Katanec’s side, however, the team is unlikely to thrash its rival as well.
Prediction for the match: Malta to win with +3.0 Asian handicap.
