On the contrary, Ajax recaptured good form, having defeated at first the Germans on Thursday and then swept away the solid Heerenveen 5:1 in Eredivisie last weekend. Ajax’s unbeaten run consists of eight matches and has been lasting since the 12th of March. The team recorded seven victories, one draw, 22 goals for and five goals against during that time. As for the Dutch results on the road, they gained 11 triumphs, seven draws and four losses in 22 encounters in this season.
Schalke 04 lost to Ajax without any chances on the road and yet more disappointed in the Bundesliga. Still I don’t believe that the Germans will give up easily and let the Dutch promote into the semi-final. They have to show their class and their will for win and get a victory in front of their supporters. However, it is in a question whether it is enough to promote further.
