Real Madrid managed to win their 11th title of the Champions League as they beat their rivals Atletico Madrid on penalty shootout. During their preseason Zinedine Zidane’s side played 3 friendlies as they were victorious over Chelsea (3:2) and Bayern Munich (1:0) and lost to PSG (1:3). There were not many changes in the Real Madrid’s squad this transfer window as they signed home-grown Alvaro Morata, while Arbeloa and Jese left the club.

Sevilla won their third consecutive Europa League title last season as they outplayed Liverpool in the final (3:1). There was a huge makeover in the club this summer.
