Moldova vs Wales Prediction 5 September 2017

Moldova national football team takes on the visitors Wales national football team at "Zimbru Stadium" in the matchday eight of the Europe’s Qualifiers Group stage for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia. The game will be played in Chisinau on Tuesday, September 5th.

Moldova as always sits at the bottom of the Group standings. The Moldovans have gained not a single victory in this qualifying cycle and even in friendly clashes it wins rarely. On Saturday on the 6th of September Moldova will meet Ireland on the road which means the team's current two points with 4-15 goal difference and the last place in the Group D are unlikely to change. Moldova has already conducted three encounters at its own turf in this qualifying campaign, having lost 0:3 to Serbia and 1:3 to Ireland, managing to take points from another outsider of the group Georgia, having earned 2:2 draw.

Wales has lost only one out of 10 recent matches, although the Brits have also won only four of them with last time it earned three points was in the first round of the qualification at the home pitch and it was 4:0 victory over Moldova. Since then Gareth Bale and his teammates got five draws in a row with three of them ended with 1:1 scoreline alongside with 0:0 and 2:2 scores. This extreme admiration for the draws is threatening Wales' chances for promoting to the final stage in Russia as after six rounds played the team occupies only the third place in the Group D with eight points earned and 9-5 goal difference, being four points behind the leading duet of Ireland and Serbia. Wales has played three clashes on the road resulting in three draws with 3:3 aggregated score.

Moldova is the underdog of the Group D and it is unlikely to stop the Welsh even at its own turf while the visiting side needs only a victory in the forthcoming battle with many goals scored for a better goal difference eventually.

Prediction for the match: Wales to win with -1.0 Asian handicap.
