Osasuna made their return to elite Spanish division. Today’s visitors finished sixth in Segunda last season with 64 points and 47-40 goal difference and had to win playoffs for the place in Primera. Osasuna had beaten Gimnastic in the semifinals, 3-1, 3-2 and Girona in the final, 2-1, 1-0. It took only one year for the team to make return to top league. The team also had quite intensive pre-season, but their results were quite different from Malaga’s (one win, one draw and five defeats). Such poor record should worry the fans and club’s management.
