Legia take on the visitors Dundalk in the second leg of qualifying matchup for the right to play in Champions League. The match will be played at Pepsi Arena on Tuesday, August 23rd. The first leg in Ireland ended with 2-0 win of Warsaw side.
Legia started the season in the beginning of July with thrashing loss to Lech, 1-4. However, the team is still battling for their main objective of the summer, a place in the group stage of Champions League. On the way to the final qualifying round, Legia eliminated Zrinski Mostar, 1-1, 2-0, and Trancin, 1-0, 0-0 and now they have 2-0 lead in the matchup with Irish side, which gives Legia great chances for reaching their objectives. Polish champions rest to their key players in matches of domestic league and focused only on battles in eurocups. Legia hosted six matches this summer, taking one win, four draws and one defeats.

Dundalk have already reached historical result this summer as they have at least seven matches to play in eurocups, counting this one. The clash with Legia proved that the team completely not ready to battle in Champions League group stage while Europa League might be their chance to reach for European spring football. Dundalk are unable to win on the road in their four last matches with three defeats recorded.
Legia aren’t one of the leading European teams but they are still much stronger that Irish champions which was proved in the first leg. We should expect Polish team to win this match confidently and advance for the main stage of the competition.
Prediction for the match: Legia to win.
