Congo national “A” football team takes on the visitor Uganda national “A” football team at “Stade Alphonse Massemba-Debat” in the gameweek six of the Third qualification stage of the Confederation of African Football's Preliminary Competition for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia. The match will be played in Brazzaville on Sunday, November 12th.
Congo has never ever qualified for the World Cups ever in its history. In Africa the team is nicknamed “Diables Rouges”. The side cannot win any prestigious tournament even on the African continent although it promoted to the final stage of the Africa Cup of Nations six times. There is no wonder that Congo currently settles on the last place in Group E of the third qualify round, having earned only one single point. The team lost 1:2 to Egypt and 1:5 to Ghana at its own turf.

Uganda has also never promoted to the World Cups, however, it is considered to be the mid-table team in Africa. “The Cranes” have participated in the Africa Cup of Nations final only once in its history, having been broken in it. Uganda had good chances to qualify for the final competition in Russia in the current campaign, however, it spoilt them by having let Egypt to go ahead. All in all, “The Cranes” have picked up eight points in five encounters played. On the road Uganda gained 1:1 draw against Ghana and 0:1 defeat to Egypt at this qualifying stage.
Uganda has won three out of four head-to-heads against Congo with only one clash lost. There are no tournament tasks left for the rivals, consequently, I wouldn’t expect for many goals scored in the game.
Prediction for the match: Under 2.0 scored goals.
