Braga take on the visitors AIK at “Estadio Municipal de Braga” in the second-leg clash of the Qualification semi-final of the UEFA Europa League 2017/2018. The game will be played in Braga on Thursday, August 3rd. The first-leg match ended with 1:1 draw.
Braga completely collapsed at the end of last season’s in Primeira Liga, having earned only eight points in last eight rounds which, nevertheless, didn’t prevent the club from finishing on the fifth place in the standings. The new season in Portugal hasn’t started yet, therefore, Braga participated only in friendly encounters, having gained three victories and two defeats with seven goals for and four goals against in five matches. In the first-leg fight against the Swedish side the Portuguese team played on equal and the draw was a fair result of the game.

Swedish Allsvenskan is underway. Last weekend AIK lost to Kalmar 1:0 which broke AIK’s eight-clash unbeaten series in all tournaments. AIK currently occupy the third place in Sweden’s Allsvenskan after 16 gameweeks. Braga are only entering the new season and are far from being in their best form. AIK don’t show spectacular football this season and even though the team is in the playing rhythm now, it prefers to play in midfield without many scored and conceded goals and I don’t believe that the rivals will combine a lot of goals in the upcoming battle neither.
