Junior finished fifth in Apertura with 37 points gained in 20 matches and 28-20 aggregate goal difference. Playoffs started with eliminating Millonarios, (2-0, 3-4) and this success was followed by aggregate win over Atletico Nacional (1-1, 1-0). Despite overall advantage in the first leg of the finals, Juniors failed to win at home, 1-1. Junior show quite solid results in recent matches, recording only two defeats, four wins and nine draws. However, the away record of the team isn’t great as Junior failing to record a win on the road for last six matches since the beginning of April.
Medellin and Junior played numerous head-to-heads. The opponents met twice in 2016. One match ended with 1-0 win of today’s visitors and one match ended with 1-1 draw. However, we should expect the hosts to take their revenge for this year results. Junior aren’t that confident on the road while Medellin proved they are much better in front of home fans.
Prediction for the match: Medellin to win.
