Fenerbahce failed to reach their objectives last season in Turkey as the team was battling for the league title till the very end but came second behind Besiktas and lost the cup final to another Istanbul giant Galatasaray. The team couldn’t count on their best players in recent friendlies, losing to humble side Gostaresh, 0-3 and drawing match with CSMS Iasi, 2-2. On a regular day Turkish runners-up wouldn’t have any troubles beating those opponents but the off-season is the place of experiment and results won’t matter for coaches.

Voluntari are one of the weakest teams in elite Romanian division. They had to battle Arad in relegation play out, beating them on aggregate (3-0, 0-1) and kept their place in elite division. The team only start their pre-season preparation and we shouldn’t expect to see their best performance in the match.
