Turkish runners-up Fenerbahce take on CSMS Iasi from Romania in a club friendly match on Wednesday, July 6th.
Fenerbahce failed in the title race against Besiktas in Turkish Super Lig last season. The teams were battling for the first spot through the season but Fenerbahce couldn’t keep the pace and finished second in the league with 60-27 goal difference. On top of that, Fenerbahce suffered 0-1 defeat in the Turkish Cup final against another giant from the capitol, Galatasaray, despite being favorites of the matchup. The team’s objectives for upcoming season hasn’t changed and Fenerbahce will battle for triumphs in all domestic competitions and try to show solid results in eurocups. The team has already played on friendly match, unexpectedly losing to Iranian side Gostaresh, 0-3.

SCMS Iasi don’t belong to the leading teams of Romanian football. They have failed to qualify to top-6 of the domestic league last season and had to battle to avoid relegation in elite division, having no troubles to finish first in that group.
