Argentina national team take on the titleholders Chile in their first match in Copa America-2016. The match will be played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA, on Tuesday, June 7th.
Argentina national team is considered one of the Copa America 2016 favorites. However, they were favorites of last year Copa America final against today’s opponents Chile, but lost it. Argentina played nine matches since that defeat, recording five wins, three draws and one defeat with 16-6 aggregate goal difference. Chile are the titleholders after they won previous championship that took place at their home. However, it’s hard to expect them to keep the title this season as Jorje Sampaioli, the coach who led the team to the triumph, left the team. On top of that, last Copa America was played in Chile and it gave the team advantage that they don’t have now.
