Atletico Madrid host Bayern Munich at Vicente Calderon in the first leg of the Champions League semifinals.
Madrid side managed to proceed to the semifinals mostly thanks to their strong willpower and incredible vigor. In the first play-off round they played PSV. There were no goals scored, so they had to decide the winner on penalty.

Bayern also had challenges on their way to the semifinal. In the round of 16 they clashed with Juventus. Bayern even could be eliminated in the second leg, but they pulled themselves together and won the match in the extra time.
