Turf accountant BetStars is a new product by a well-know (in the world of poker) Canadian company Amaya Gaming. BetStars was launched in December 2015 and is an Internet-based bookie with an Island of Man license.
BetStars website functionality
It’s instantly noticeable that the bookie’s website is rather minimalistic. It has no clutter of information or a particular designing solution. Main page only hosts a pre-match line with the most interesting sport events of the day and a column with relevant information about the current bonuses and promotions. The rest of the functionality, even the complete list of bettable sports is accessed with with additional clicks.
At the same time, the website has a number of other useful functions. For instance, color-coded blinking odds, which tell the players about the actual changes: red means odds decrease, green - odds increase. You can also sort events by starting date and time, as well as access a week-long list of upcoming bettable competitions.
Right now the bookmaker lacks the live broadcasting capacity and the website itself works properly only in English. However, downloadable apps for iOS and Android are already available.
Sports betting
For now, BetStars supports only less than 25 sports and cybersport. However, company parent company promises to increase the number of offers in the near future. The most covered of sports offered is soccer, with available on over 100 markets.
Considering that the bookie has only recently been launched, odds are not great but interesting nonetheless. Soccer odds for a tie may get to a 2,5 value, basketball matches produce 1,9 value.
Types of bets available are singles, accumulators, systems, Lucky 15, 31 and 63. A dedicated Live-betting section is also available, which usually includes most events of the day.
Bonuses and promotions
Bookmaker offers a welcoming bonus of up to $20 for new players, that have placed a first bet of no less than $5. Bonus is separated in 5 equal parts and can be used as a free bet. Besides that, there are a few more perks: refunds as a freebet in case of a lost bet because of the penalty goal on the last minutes or if the best lost on of the five leading European soccer championships.
