Olympiakos Piraeus take on the visitors Partizan at “Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium” in the second-leg game of the Qualification semi-final of the UEFA Champions League 2017/2018. The match will be played in Piraeus on Wednesday, August 2nd. The first-leg clash ended with 3:1 scoreline in favour of the Greeks.
Olympiakos Piraeus had taken another champion’s title of the Greek Super League without visible problems in previous season, in summer they actively participated in friendlies recording two triumphs with three draws and one defeat in six encounters, but the most important thing is that they gained runaway victory with two-goal margin in equal fight in Serbia because of the goal scored on the 91st minute of the match by Emenike. Taking into account that the Greeks have more experienced and tinker squad compering to the Serbians, plus “Oly” is the home team which has lost only two clashes since the 26th of October 2016, the outcome of that fight is quite predictable.

In 2016/2017 season Partizan collected all football titles in Serbia and made a successful start in a new cycle: in the UEFA Champions League they had knocked out Buducnost 2:0, 0:0, while in the Serbian Super Liga got furious 6:1 triumph over Sabac in the opening round, but they felt lack of consistency against the Greeks.
In this pair everything became clear in the first head-to-head, thus I presume that in Greece the hosts will only prove their superiority over the Serbians once again and will win.
Prediction for the match: Olympiakos Piraeus to win.
